Hands-Free Voice Operation
Synappx Meeting can enable hands-free voice operation to assist meeting productivity with Amazon Alexa. You can operate Microsoft Office PowerPoint presentations, SHARP Pen Software and control select Sharp displays. An Amazon Alexa-enabled smart speaker is required for the voice operation. Support functions include:
- Control PowerPoint presentations
- Control SHARP Pen Software
- Control select Sharp displays
- End meetings
The first step is to register an echo-enabled smart speaker to a workspace. This can be done only once by your Synappx administrator. After registration, you can use voice commands by selecting the microphone icon in the Synappx Meeting Assistant.
Note: Voice operation is only available during meetings.
* Voice control currently not available in Europe.
Enable Voice Control
You can use voice commands by selecting the microphone icon on the Synappx Meeting Assistant. When the icon changes from gray to teal, you can use voice commands to control PowerPoint presentations and Pen Software installed on your PC. To stop voice control, select the microphone icon again and it will change back to gray.
Using Voice Commands
Synappx Meeting's voice control feature is based on the "My Sharp" skill for Amazon Alexa. Before each voice command, you need to activate the "My Sharp" skill by saying:
Alexa, ask "My Sharp."
Alexa, open "My Sharp."
